MyBhutan is a series of social enterprises designed to establish a global platform to develop local working communities and aid the philanthropic activities of local nonprofit organizations in Bhutan.
MyBhutan’s first social enterprise is an industry-wide tourism platform that appliessmart technology to (a) support public and private sector administrative, marketing and customer support services and (b) make booking a trip to Bhutan easy, personalized, and cost-effective for customers. The enterprise aids the Tarayana Foundation, a Bhutanese nonprofit founded by Her Majesty Queen Mother AshiDorjiWangmoWangchuck to protect the vulnerable communities of Bhutan.
Matthew DeSantis is the founder of MyBhutan. Having had a 20-year personal and professional relationship with Bhutan, he is honored to work with the country to support its continued development. He isone of the longest residing foreigners in the Royal Kingdom and a business strategist and IT specialist by trade, most notably with the Royal Government of Bhutan and Accenture. He also serves as the U.S. State Department’s Warden of Bhutan and a member of the Explorers Club.
